Today I got to go to the National Aviary in Pittsburgh, PA. I was very fortunate in that I was given a private tour by Steve Sarro, the Director of Animal Programs. After seeing a few exhibits and shows, I was taken behind the scenes and even had the opportunity to see the breeding rooms and holding pens. It was really an amazing experience. I also got some neat video of a Victoria Crowned Pigeon eating from someone's hand.
